Thanks to your generous donations the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas has been feeding hungry Arkansans for almost 30 years! The Food Bank is a 501c3 charitable food relief organization, founded in 1982 whose mission is "Building Bridges from Hunger to Hope." Your donation of $1 provides 5 meals for those in need. Which means even those among us who can only afford to give a small amount can be confident that they are making a remarkable difference in someone's life.
Individuals and businesses who donate food to the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas are proud to know that those food and grocery products are distributed to 45 agencies in our nine county service area and then passed along to and estimated 21,800 hungry Arkansans. Among the households we serve, 50% reported that they have to make choices between buying food or fuel and utilities. Your donation of food allows the Food Bank and our agencies to accomplish the daily work of feeding thousands of our neighbors in need!
We depend on countless volunteers to help us reach our mission of "Building Bridges from Hunger to Hope." During 2010 volunteers put in over 25,000 hours of volunteer time. These volunteers graciously served an average of 3,269 families each month. Come join our volunteer team that is over 270 members strong and counting!
