Gary, born in Cleveland, Ohio, after marrying Carol McHenry and in the midst of the Korean War, he enlisted in the Air Force where he became an expert in the field of electronic and large military systems.  After his discharge from the Air Force, he spent about fifteen years teaching in Commercial, Industrial, and Military schools.  While an employ of RCA, Gary was contracted to the Navy as a troubleshooter and eventually began working for the Department of Defense.  At one point during his career, he left government employment and started a small consulting firm which he operated for five years.  He and Carol relocated to the Ozarks upon retirement in 1995.

Early in their lives (1952) Gary and Carol committed themselves into the service of Jesus Christ who has been the guiding and motivational principle in their lives.  They have been blessed with four children and eleven grandchildren.

Jo Wilson

Jo and her husband, Steve, lived in Little Rock for most of their married life.  After 30 years in the field of education, Jo retired from the Pulaski County Special School District where she worked as a teacher, curriculum coordinator, and principal.

Jo and Steve have two children and three grandchildren who occupy a lot of her time along with tennis (she is on the board of the Twin lakes Community Tennis Association) and pottery making.  She enjoys vegetable and wildflower gardening, reading, and travelling to exotic places like Africa and the Amazon.  As a member of the Norfork United Methodist church, Jo serves as church treasurer and participates in mission trips in and out of the country.

Jo says that serving on the board of the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas helps her to follow the teachings of Christ as He admonished us to love our neighbors as ourselves and to reach out to serve others.  It is her hope that she can help to be the hands of Christ on earth through this organization.

Jeff, single and currently employed with Larry Black and Associates Real Estate, is a native to the Twin Lakes Area.  He has spent his adult life in industries designed to serve and meet the needs of others.  His faith is the cornerstone of his life, and he spends many volunteer hours at his church, the Fairview United Methodist Church.

Jeff’s grandmother, Margie Knight, served as a volunteer for the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas with its founder, Alice Ayers, and together they instilled in him the importance of giving back to others.  Their spirit and their willingness to give left a strong impression on Jeff and their memory encourages him to continue their legacy by serving others.
