Deb Stanuch
|
Deb Stanuch, Norfork, AR, Chairman: Retired executive recruiter from
Chicago. Experience in fund raising for not for profits. Part-time news reporter/broadcaster on KTLO AM &
FM. Member of Sweet Adelines International and sings Bass with the Queens of Harmony Sweet Adelines Quartet. Members
of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church.
Deb serves on the Board because she believes in our mission and Christ's command, "If you
love me, feed my children."

Richard and Jo Byrd
|
Richard and Jo Byrd are the parents of five children and grandparents of nine. Richard is a retired Doctor of Chiropractic.
Richard and Jo both enjoy travelling, tennis, biking, hiking and gardening. They
are members of the Advisory Board of the Children’s Home of Paragould and of the Sojourners (retired, self-supporting members
of Church of Christ with an R.V. whose mission is to strengthen, both spiritually and physically, small churches, children’s
homes and Christian colleges).
Richard and Jo became board members of the Food Bank
of North Central Arkansas because of the magnitude of service the food bank was performing and they believe in its mission
“to feed the hungry”.

Jan Wilson
|
Jan Wilson, Secretary, Norfork, AR: Retired as Nurse
Manager of the Surgical & Cardiovascular Surgery Intensive Care unit at the VA Medical Center in Little Rock. Member of
the Norfork United Methodist Church and secretary of the Norfork UMW. She was elected into the Batesville Women’s Bowling
Hall of Fame in 2005 and now bowls on a senior’s league in Mtn. Home.

Roger Carlson
|
Roger Carlson, Norfork, AR: Roger received a BS
degree in Geology at Oregon State University and a MS degree at Idaho State University. He worked as an exploration geologist for various companies until retiring in
1984. Roger was City Commissioner for the city of Raton, NM for two years and
the Mayor of that city for two years.
Roger is currently teaching Geology, Geography & Math at the Arkansas State University in
Mountain Home. He is a former FBNCA
Board Chairman.

Gary Averill
|
Gary, born in Cleveland, Ohio, after marrying Carol McHenry and in the midst of the
Korean War, he enlisted in the Air Force where he became an expert in the field of electronic and large military
systems. After his discharge from the Air Force, he spent about fifteen years
teaching in Commercial, Industrial, and Military schools. While an employ of RCA,
Gary was contracted to the Navy as a troubleshooter and eventually began working for the Department of Defense. At one point during his career, he left government employment and started a small consulting
firm which he operated for five years. He and Carol relocated to the Ozarks upon
retirement in 1995.
Early in their lives (1952) Gary and Carol committed themselves into the service of Jesus Christ
who has been the guiding and motivational principle in their lives. They have
been blessed with four children and eleven grandchildren.

Jo Wilson
|
Jo and her husband, Steve, lived in Little Rock for most of their married life. After 30 years in the field of education, Jo retired from the Pulaski County Special School
District where she worked as a teacher, curriculum coordinator, and principal.
Jo and Steve have two children and three grandchildren who occupy a lot of her time along with
tennis (she is on the board of the Twin lakes Community Tennis Association) and pottery making. She enjoys vegetable and wildflower gardening, reading, and travelling to exotic places
like Africa and the Amazon. As a member of the Norfork United Methodist
church, Jo serves as church treasurer and participates in mission trips in and out of the country.
Jo says that serving on the board of the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas helps her to follow
the teachings of Christ as He admonished us to love our neighbors as ourselves and to reach out to serve
others. It is her hope that she can help to be the hands of Christ on earth
through this organization.

Alice King
|
A lifetime native of Baxter County, Miss Alice taught
elementary school for one year. In 1946, Miss Alice and Guy King (now deceased),
married and in the same year established their business (still in operation), Guy King &
Sons. Through the years, Miss Alice
raised her children, taught as a substitute teacher, and helped her husband in their business.
Miss Alice has served as a board member
of the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas since 1994. Her “love for those who
find themselves in unfortunate circumstances motivates her to serve”. She
volunteers in many community organizations as well as her church—the First Baptist Church in Mountain
Home.

Jess Vanderstek
|
Jess, married for over 40 years to his wife, Elizabeth, is a retired residential construction
contractor. Jess received his BS in business marketing from Southwest Missouri
University. He has served as the president and secretary of the Twin Lakes Home
Builders, Vice Chairman of the Baxter County Planning Commission, a varsity Boy Scout Leader, volunteer for the Twin Lakes
Literacy Council, a youth basketball coach, and is on the board of the Big Creek Golf Club.
Jess enjoys serving on the FBNCA’s board of directors and
appreciates the mission of the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas and the efficiency in which that mission is
accomplished.

Jeff Quick
|
Jeff, single and currently employed with Larry Black and Associates Real Estate,
is a native to the Twin Lakes Area. He has spent his adult life in industries
designed to serve and meet the needs of others. His faith is the cornerstone of his
life, and he spends many volunteer hours at his church, the Fairview United Methodist Church.
Jeff’s grandmother, Margie Knight, served as a volunteer for the Food Bank of North Central
Arkansas with its founder, Alice Ayers, and together they instilled in him the importance of giving back to
others. Their spirit and their willingness to give left a strong impression on
Jeff and their memory encourages him to continue their legacy by serving others.

Randy Ludwig
|
Randy is married and has six children. He was raised in the Twin Lakes area and is currently the
Executive Pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Mountain Home.
Randy has been in the ministry since 1999.Randy is the founder and president of a non-profit
organization called Christian Family Homebuilder and serves on the board of the Mountain Home Christian Clinic and the
state advisory board for Workforce Education. Randy is also involved with Mountain Home’s youth football and baseball
programs. His hobbies include golfing, fishing, and most all water sports.
Randy has a deeply rooted concern for the welfare of the people of his community. He believes that no one should ever be hungry and feels that the Food Bank of North
Central Arkansas does a great job providing food for the many distribution agencies throughout north central
Arkansas.
