HELP END HUNGER IN THE OZARKS

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

78% of the food pantries in Arkansas have no paid staff at all!  They rely entirely on volunteer labor. In addition to the countless volunteer opportunities that are available through our Partner Hunger Relief Organizations, the Food Bank of NCA receives approximately 10,000 hours of volunteer time annually. Below are four specific volunteer areas where you can help.


VOLUNTEER AT THE WAREHOUSE

9:00 A.M. TO 3:00 P.M. MONDAY THRU FRIDAY

(1 to 15 individuals and/or groups are needed each day)

• Meal Packaging
• Product Sorting
• Cleaning

 

(1 to 3 individuals are needed each day)

• Help staff fill orders for agencies
• Help staff stock shelves

VOLUNTEER AT THE OFFICE

8:00 A.M. TO 4:00 P.M. MONDAY THRU FRIDAY
(1 to 3 individuals are needed each day)

• Answer phones
• Copy and File
• Put together mail outs

• Data Entry

• Help staff prepare for events

VOLUNTEER AT THE PANTRY

9:00 A.M. TO 12:00 P.M. TUESDAYS AND WEDNESDAYS
(2 to 5 individuals and/or groups are needed each day)

• Fill baskets for clients

• Make kid bags

• stock shelves

• greet clients and fill our paperwork with them

• cleaning

VOLUNTEER AT THE THRIFT STORE

9:00 A.M. TO 3:30 P.M. TUESDAY THRU FRIDAY /

9:30 A.M. TO 2:00 P.M. SATURDAYS
(5 to 8 individuals are needed daily)

• Sort Donations
• Clean Donations
• Display items in the store

• Move boxes and furniture to and from the store room

• Operate the cash register

Volunteers make it possible for us to distribute over 2 million meals annually to our surrounding area. At the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas we are privileged to work with amazing volunteers.
